Privacy Policy
This policy explains what SocialShark collects, why, and what control you have. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.
What we collect
Account details: your email address, display name, and avatar if you set one. If you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your email and name from them, never your password.
Content you create: the ideas, drafts, prompts, photos, generated images, video, and narration audio in your library.
Usage records needed to run the product: credit spending history, generation jobs and their status, subscription and purchase state, and scheduled or published posts.
Connected account data: for a platform you link, an access token stored encrypted, your profile identifier, and post metrics we read back for your own analytics.
What we do not collect
We do not run advertising or analytics SDKs, so we do not build an ad profile of you or track you across other apps.
We never receive your card number. Payments happen inside Apple's or Google's billing systems.
Why we use it
To provide the service: generate content, store your library, publish where you ask, and show your analytics.
To operate your plan: apply credits, honour entitlements, and process purchases and refunds.
To keep the service safe: detect abuse, debug failures, and enforce our terms.
To contact you about your account, such as a purchase receipt or an important change.
AI processing
To create output we send your prompt and, when relevant, the photo or draft you provided to AI providers acting on our behalf. These currently include OpenRouter and OpenAI for text, Atlas Cloud for images and video, ElevenLabs for narration, and Shotstack plus our own render service for assembling video.
We share only what a request needs. We do not send your email address or contact details as part of a generation request.
Who else processes your data
Supabase hosts our database, authentication, storage, and server functions.
RevenueCat, with Apple and Google, handles subscriptions and credit-pack purchases and tells us what you are entitled to.
Fly.io hosts our video rendering worker.
These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Where your files are stored
Uploads and generated media live in a private storage bucket. Access rules scope every file to the account that created it, so other users cannot read your media.
Access tokens for connected social accounts are encrypted before storage.
How long we keep it
Your content stays until you delete it or delete your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, library, and connected-account tokens.
We keep a minimal record of purchases and credit grants for as long as tax and accounting rules require, even after deletion.
Your choices
See and edit your profile in Settings.
Disconnect any social account in Settings, which revokes our access to it.
Delete your account, and with it your content, from Settings.
Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or erase it, by writing to support@socialshark.app. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing or complain to your data protection regulator.
Children
SocialShark is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we hold data from a child under 13 we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date below and, for a significant change, tell you in the app before it takes effect.
